Police advise against travel into B.C. heading into weekend

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — Police are advising against any non-essential travel into British Columbia this weekend as treacherous weather awaits.
Warnings are in place throughout southeastern B.C. where snowfall amounts could approach 100cm along the Coquihalla Highway.

Warnings are also in place in places like Banff National Park where about 30cm of snow is expected.

Avalanches could also be an issue throughout the mountains especially in areas such as Revelstoke and Golden.
