Charges laid in November CTrain assault

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Police have laid charges in a random attack on a CTrain that halted train traffic and sent a man to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

It was around 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 15 when a man riding a westbound train was hit in the face by another passenger and went into medical distress.

The victim is now out of the hospital. The suspect fled the scene when the train stopped at 7 Street Station.

The investigation by police stopped the trains along 7 Avenue for a couple of hours.

Police say tips from the public helped them lay charges against the 29-year-old man.
