Calgary police officer charged with criminal harassment

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – A Calgary police officer has been charged with unwanted communication and criminal harassment extending from April 2018 to November 2018.

According to police, the accused excessively contacted the victim, threatening to ruin the their reputation both personally and professionally.

The victim reported the incidents to police and an investigation was launched.

A report was sent to the Edmonton Crown Prosecutor for review and it was determined that charges were warranted.

Constable Jacqueline MacNeil, a 14-year member of CPS, has been charged with unwanted communication and criminal harassment.

MacNeil is currently on an unrelated leave.
