Are Calgarians shopping during Cyber Monday?

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Black Friday broke records this year for online sales which begs the question, are people as interested in Cyber Monday?

Last year’s Cyber Monday was the biggest e-commerce day ever for North American retailers ever, until this past Friday.

However, the online shopping bonanza isn’t catching on with some Calgarians.

According to a survey from Finder.com, nearly nine in ten Canadians (87 per cent) plan to score a deal during pre-Christmas sales events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. With the average Canadian spending close to $1,000.

Some of the top-selling products from this past weekend included toys from Disney’s ‘Frozen 2,’ ‘Madden 20’ and ‘FIFA 20’ video games, Amazon’s Fire TV and Apple AirPods.

Adobe Analytics projects sales for Cyber Monday 2019 could reach $9.4 billion USD.
