Service resumes after truck collides with CTrain

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — No one was injured after a CTrain and pickup truck collided in downtown Calgary Thursday morning.

It happened just after 9:30 a.m. near the 3 Street station on 7 Ave.

Service was disrupted for just over an hour as emergency crews cleared the area.

Shuttle buses helped move commuters in and outside of the downtown core.

One witnessed describes what she saw.

“I was just inside working, and I heard a massive sound like a crash. We all came out running, and I saw this big truck there just crashed, completely.”

EMS confirmed the driver of the pickup truck was unharmed, and no one on the train was injured.
