CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Another snowy weekend for many parts of Alberta.

Some northwestern parts of the province could see up to 40 centimetres.

In parts of western and northern Alberta, the snow will impact travel along the Yellowhead and QE-II into Saturday.

Ten to 15 centimetres of snow is expected in Edmonton, much higher amounts are in store west of the city, into the foothills and the northern Rockies.

As much as 40 centimetres of snow could fall in places like Grande Prairie through Sunday, where a winter storm warning is in effect.

In the City of Calgary, the snow will be heavy at times Saturday night amounting to between 10 and 15 centimetres, the good news though is by Monday we’re expecting sun and a high of zero.
