18-year-old charged in string of Airdrie sex assaults

AIRDRIE (660 NEWS) – A list of charges nearly 20 long has been laid following a string of sex assaults in Airdrie.

RCMP north of Calgary first reported last month that a man was riding around on his bicycle hitting women on their behinds. After Mounties shared the information, more women came forward.

It’s believed that after the initial report was released in October, the suspect ditched his bike and continued assault people on foot.

Adam James Ferrier, 18, is facing 17 different charges, including sexual assault, voyeurism, failure to comply with conditions, sexual interference, committing an indecent act, and committing an offense while masked.

Ferrier is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 21.

If you have any information regarding these assaults that you’d like to share, contact Airdrie RCMP or do so anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
