THAILAND (660 NEWS) – A very positive development for former Humboldt Bronco player Ryan Straschnitzki after he travelled halfway around the world to undergo an operation on his spine.

Straschnitzki’s dad posted a video to Twitter showing the Airdrie resident moving his legs after having the surgery in Thailand.

The clip shows Ryan working with a therapist to bend his knees, but you can see the foot that’s not being touched move on its own.

The family made the decision to travel halfway around the world for the spinal surgery which places an implant in his spine.

The epidural stimulator sends electrical currents to move his limbs.
