Speaking at an event for Syncrude Canada Monday night, Kenney praised the work of oilsands investors.

“Alberta’s energy wealth has enabled us to provide so much to the rest of the country–$200 billion in the last decade alone, $600 billion since about 1960 and we’re not done yet.”

He also took a shot at the Trudeau government, saying the previous two Liberal governments helped with investments in the oilsands.

“To Anne McLellan, thank you for what you did for Albertans and to our current Prime Minister please remember it was two previous Liberal governments that helped to make all this possible, we hope yours will too in the future.”

The event and address at the Edmonton Chamber is expected to start around 11 a.m. Tuesday.
