Two people in hospital after crash in southeast Calgary

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — Paramedics took two people to the hospital after a collision between an SUV and a car in southeast Calgary on Tuesday evening.

A woman in her thirties was taken to Foothills hospital in life-threatening condition by EMS when they responded to the crash at Barlow Tr. and 72 Ave. SE just after 9 p.m.

Calgary police say the woman is now in critical but stable condition.

EMS said a man in his twenties who was travelling in the other vehicle was taken to hospital as a precaution and is in stable condition.

Barlow Trail in both directions reopened early Wednesday after being closed for several hours.

Police say charges are possible.
