Calgary police investigating possible shooting in downtown core

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — Calgary police are investigating an early morning shooting in the city’s downtown core.

Shortly after 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, officers were called to 8 St. and 5 Ave. after reports of shots being fired following a fight.

When police arrived at the scene they found no victims. The only evidence that remained were shell casings littering the street.

Officers are gathering surveillance footage from nearby businesses.
