HAWCS flew over the scene first, and as ground officers arrived, the suspects started fleeing and fired on police.
One member, a seven-year veteran of the force, fired back, though it doesn’t appear anyone was hit.
Two of the suspects were arrested nearby after ditching the getaway vehicle.
The suspect, still on the loose, is described as a dark-skinned male, in his late 20s or early 30s, 5’7″ tall and was wearing a tan-coloured camouflage jacket with a hood.
The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) has been called in to investigate an officer-involved shooting that took place early this morning in the 100 block of Laguna Close N.E., following reports of armed men at a residence. #yyc https://t.co/MiKspPrvqT
