Body discovered after Strathmore fire

ALBERTA (660 NEWS) — RCMP continue their investigation into a structure fire and death, east of Calgary.

Members responded to a fire on a rural property in the early morning hours of Oct. 1 and found human remains inside the burning structure in Strathmore.

The next day an autopsy was conducted at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Calgary, but there’s no word yet on gender or age of the deceased.

The District Fire Chief in Rocky View County is still determining the cause of the blaze.
