Man sent to hospital after driving through Calgary park

CALGARY (660NEWS) — There were some scary moments Wednesday morning in a southeast park.

Calgary police say they received several calls about a vehicle that went through a fence and into the Sue Higgins Park off-leash dog area.

Callers say the vehicle was driving erratically and eventually struck a barrier at which point it started on fire.

Fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze quickly.

EMS says the driver had a medical emergency and was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

No one was injured during the incident.
