Stamps clinch playoff spot

CALGARY (660 NEWS)- The Calgary Stampeders have secured a position in the 2019 Canadian Football League playoffs.

With a 9-4 record following Friday night’s 23-16 victory in Toronto, and the Ottawa RedBlacks’ 40-7 home-field loss to the BC Lions on Saturday.

The Stamps are assured of a least a crossover berth into the East Division playoffs.

This will mark the 15th consecutive season the Stamps will take part in the playoffs, the longest such run in franchise history.

It also matches the fifth-longest streak all-time by any CFL club.

The 2019 playoffs begin on Sunday, Nov. 10 with the division semifinals followed by the division finals on Sunday, Nov. 17.

The Grey Cup will be played at Calgary’s McMahon Stadium on Sunday, Nov. 24.
