Stampeders duo honoured by CFL

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — Calgary Stampeders defensive back Tre Roberson and receiver Eric Rogers are two of the CFL’s performers of the week.

The duo was instrumental in the Stamps’ 19-18 comeback victory over Hamilton on the weekend, helping Calgary improve to 8-4.

Roberson’s defensive prowess included his team-leading seventh interception of the season. Rogers, meanwhile, had eight receptions Saturday for 129 yards. It marked the second 100-yard game of the year for Rogers, who leads the CFL with eight touchdowns receptions.

This is the second time in the 2019 campaign the league has recognized both players.

Calgary is back in action Friday with a stop in Toronto versus the Argonauts. Entering week 15, the Stamps are tied for second in the West Division, trailing the Winnipeg Bluebombers by two points.
