Tire problem delays American flight at Phoenix airport

PHOENIX — An American Airlines plane’s scheduled departure from Phoenix to Las Vegas was delayed Thursday because of at least one flat tire.
News video showed Flight 711 at Sky Harbor International Airport with fire engines parked nearby and KTVK-TV reported that the plane had pulled off the side of a runway with two blown tires.
The airline didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
The airline’s website listed the plane as “delayed.”
Sky Harbor spokeswoman Krishna Patel said police and fire crews responded and that there was no impact on airport operations.
