CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Images and award notes from backstage at the 2019 Canadian Country Music Association Awards! The event took over the Scotiabank Saddledome on Sunday, September 8, 2019.

660 NEWS Reporter Tanya Blakney was in the press room with the heavy, but classy, hardware.

Tenille Townes stole the show winning four awards in total, including Female Artist of the Year and Single of the Year (Somebody’s Daughter). She was humbled, sweet and picture perfect holding the four beautiful trophies. Two of her honours were celebrated during the Industry Conference.

Show co-host Dallas Smith won the coveted top title, Entertainer of the Year and MNP Male Artist of the Year. The former Default frontman thanked his Mom during an acceptance speech, following her successful battle with cancer. He noted she kicked the “you know what” out of cancer. American Billy Ray Cyrus was the other half of the host duo.
