Paintball drive-by shooting in Lethbridge targets supervised consumption site

LETHBRIDGE (660 NEWS) – A paintball drive-by shooting is being investigated by police in Lethbridge.

Shortly after midnight on Saturday, August 24 a white pick-up truck drove past the supervised consumption site in Lethbridge and open fired on people in the area.

The truck is said to be a white, newer model Dodge Quad cab with a hardcover on the box, black rims, and a stock RAM badge on the tailgate.

A surveillance camera was able to capture a photo of the truck, but due to speed, the licence number is unavailable.

Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area or witnessed the assault to call Crimestoppers.

The case is being investigated as an assault with a weapon.
