B.C. crash kills 4-year-old Alberta girl

CRESTON (660 NEWS) – A four-year-old Alberta girl is reportedly among two people killed in a crash in B.C. on Highway 3.

According to RCMP, the crash occurred west of Creston Monday around 10 p.m. when an eastbound Saturn SUV crossed the centre line and collided head-on with an RV containing a family of five from southwestern Alberta.

Mounties say the four-year-old girl was sleeping in the back of the RV when she was killed.

The driver of the Saturn, a 26-year-old B.C. man also died.

Police believe the driver was returning home from the Shambhala Music Festival at the time of the crash.

Impaired driving has not been ruled out.
