Motorcyclist dies in crash west of Calgary near Cochrane

COCHRANE (660 NEWS) – A 64-year-old man has been killed following a crash just outside the city.

The crash between a motorcycle and car happened on Monday around 2:45 p.m. in the intersection of Highway 22 and James Walker Trail.

RCMP say the motorcycle was travelling southbound on Highway 22 and the car was heading northbound when the driver turned west in front of the motorcycle.

The 64-year-old man driving the motorcycle was rushed to hospital but later died.

The injuries of the 78-year-old woman driving the car are unknown.

RCMP are still trying to piece together exactly what happened.
