Fatal crash shuts down Hwy. 22X near Stoney Trail in Calgary’s southeast

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — Police confirm a woman is dead and there are numerous injuries in the wake of a multi-vehicle collision in the Stoney Trail area.
Emergency crews were called to the scene around 9:40 a.m. Saturday morning after two vehicles collided at Highway 22X and 104 Street S.E.
Alberta Health Services says four men were rushed to the hospital. One of the victims, a man in his 30s was airlifted to Foothills Medical Centre with serious, life-threatening injuries after what STARS called a head-on collision.
The other three victims have serious injuries.
In a related incident, a CPS officer was involved in a single-vehicle crash on his motorcycle on Stoney Trail at 114 Ave. while responding to the multi-vehicle collision. He suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
