Derek Brade with CityNews was at the scene and says police surrounding a home had their weapons drawn.
“They’re using their speaker system on one of the tactical trucks and asking the individual to get out of his house,” said Brade. “They’re considering him armed and dangerous — is the commands they are giving.”
As police endure periodic bouts of hail and rain, they are using flashbangs to persuade the man to come out. No one else is inside the home and they don’t believe he is in possession of a weapon.
Police say domestic related charges are pending against the man.
