Health alert issued after possible Hep A exposure in Airdrie

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — Alberta Health Services is asking the public to monitor themselves for symptoms of Hepatitis A after an incident in Airdrie.

An employee with the infectious disease was preparing food at the Thang Long Vietnamese Cuisine Restaurant.

People who consumed food there between May 27 and June 13 may have been exposed.

Immunization clinics are being held for eligible participants on June 18 and 19th at Airdrie Town and Country Centre between 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Young children who have been infected may not show symptoms.

However, if you are experiencing abdominal pain, light-coloured stools, or yellow eyes and skin, you’re advised to contact health link.
