Celebrity chef to roll into Stampede BBQ contest

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – A taste of Flavortown is coming to the Calgary Stampede.
Celebrity chef Guy Fieri will make an appearance at the Cowboys tent on July 11.
It’s part of the second annual Cowboys cook-off BBQ invitational where local BBQ masters bring forward their best meat to try and beat everyone else.
Proceeds from the competition will go towards Alberta agriculture and local farmers through The Calgary Stampede Foundation and One Health alongside the University of Calgary Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
Fieri is well known for his show ‘Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives’ on the Food Network and is the owner of several restaurants in California, New York and Las Vegas.
