CPS officer charged in relation to on-duty incident

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — A Calgary police officer has been charged following an incident in December 2017.

On Dec. 13 an incident occurred between the officer and a woman during the booking process that resulted in the woman being injured.

The investigation was handed over to the Edmonton Crown Prosecutor’s Office.

Alex Dunn, a nearly 10-year veteran of the service, has been charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm.

He has been relieved from his duties with pay pending further review.
