Impaired driving charge laid after northern Alberta ATV crash

(LAC LA BICHE) 660 NEWS — A man is charged with impaired driving and operating an ATV during a fire ban in northern Alberta.

RCMP and Fish and Wildlife officers patrolling the Lac La Biche backcountry over the Victoria Day long weekend responded to the collision Saturday.

A 23-year-old woman had been thrown from an ATV when the driver lost control.

STARS airlifted the patient out, but there’s no word on her condition.

Luckily, it appears both riders had been wearing helmets.

A 25-year-old rider from Mannville faces charges.
