OSOYOOS (NEWS 1130) – A wildfire near Osoyoos is now about 400 hectares in size.
Kevin Skrepnek with the BC Wildfire Service says the flames are uphill on difficult terrain.
“The Richter Creek fire, just west of Osoyoos, that is definitely kind of our fire of most concern right now,” he says.

Traffic has not been affected but more than a dozen properties are under an evacuation alert.
The fire comes days after a fire near Fraser Lake scorched more than two square kilometres of woodland west of Prince George on the weekend.
