CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Break out the sunscreen as it’s going to be a warm Mother’s Day weekend.
Meteorologist Andrew Schultz with Breakfast Television expects a high of 23 degrees on Saturday which is a stark contrast from the last few weeks.
“It was crazy. It was very cold and then the totals when it comes to precipitation and when I say precipitation I mean snow, we basically had 21 centimetres or just over that over the past two weekends so quite the turnaround. It’s finally a spring weekend for the city of Calgary.”

Schultz says you should enjoy the sunshine while you can because there could be snow in the weeks ahead.
“We have some showers, spring showers, we’ll take it. Yes indeed, if you’re a true Albertan or true Calgarian, you know that you’re not out of the woods or should I say out of the snow shovelling zone until June. It takes right through to the May long weekend.”
