CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Northbound 14 Street SW has re-opened after being closed at 90 Avenue through the Easter long weekend
Spokesperson with the City of Calgary, Ryan Murray said the entire intersection will re-open prior to Tuesday morning’s commute.
Residents in several southwest communities complained that the closures left them virtually trapped in their neighbourhoods.

Councillor Jeromy Farkas is filing an urgent notice of motion to council to prevent similar construction projects.
In a statement emailed to 660 NEWS, the City said its “goal is always to minimize construction impacts to people who live, work and travel through our work sites, as much as possible.” and “moving forward, we’ll continue working to improve the coordination of these projects carefully, as they are scheduled to open at the end of the year.”
