NW Calgary road reopens after early morning fatal crash

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – 14 Street through the community of MacEwan has reopened after a man died in a crash early Tuesday morning.

Police say the single-vehicle collision also sent a woman to hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was extricated from the car.

It happened just before 4:30 Tuesday morning on 14 Street at MacEwan Drive NW.

Investigators believe speed is a factor in the crash, and are still looking into whether the driver was impaired.
