Second suspicious death at Calgary motel in 4 months

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit is calling the death of a man at a motel in the northwest suspicious, and police have since opened an investigation.

This is the second suspicious death at the Inn in the past four months. A woman was found dead on Dec. 21 in her hotel room and a man was charged in connection with her death.

At approximately 1:10 p.m. on March 15, police were called to the Red Carpet Inn, located at 4635 16 Ave. N.W., for reports of a suspicious death. They found a man dead in one of the rooms.

Following an autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the victim has been identified as 66-year-old Harry Vincent Jones. People close to the victim knew him as Frank.
