Stolen RCMP vehicle found

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — An unmarked RCMP cruiser that was stolen out of the northeast on Tuesday night has been found.

The vehicle was located around 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon in a northwest parking lot.

The keys to the vehicle were taken out of the bag of an on-duty mountie in a building in the northeast around 10:15 p.m. with the car promptly being reported stolen a short time later.

A loaded Smith and Wesson handgun, police equipment, I.D., body armour, pepper spray, handcuffs and a baton were amongst the items that were within the vehicle.

Calgary police haven’t disclosed if the firearm was still accounted for when they found the car.
