Police investigating swatting calls at Calgary schools

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — Police say at least five Calgary schools were locked down Monday after receiving swatting calls that are all believed to be a hoax.

One of the computer generated messages claimed a bomb had been planted at a school, while another said someone had a gun.

The Calgary Board of Education says one of its schools was evacuated, while others were put in lockdown.

Police are investigating but don’t believe any of the threats are legitimate.
