CALGARY (660 NEWS) — Police say at least five Calgary schools were locked down Monday after receiving swatting calls that are all believed to be a hoax.
One of the computer generated messages claimed a bomb had been planted at a school, while another said someone had a gun.
The Calgary Board of Education says one of its schools was evacuated, while others were put in lockdown.

Police are investigating but don’t believe any of the threats are legitimate.
Swatting is a harassment tactic in which someone dispatches a police team to an address in response to a fake crisis.
