Police believe BC gang leader charged with murder could be in Calgary area

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – A dangerous gang leader from British Columbia could be hiding in Calgary. Conor D’Monte is wanted in the murder of a BC gang member in 2009. Calgary police retweeted a message from the @BoloProgram in which the reward for D’Monte was mentioned.

The CPS says D’Monte is believed to have criminal connections to individuals who live in Calgary and if anyone has any information they’re asked to contact police. A $100,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to his arrest.

D’Monte was charged in the 2009 murder of a Red Scorpion gang member after he was gunned down in a Langley parking lot. He is also accused of conspiring to murder the Bacon brothers.

According to RCMP, it’s possible that he may have changed his appearance. He’s described as being 6-foot-1 with olive skin and shaved black hair. He also has a tattoo of Chinese characters on his right shoulder. For a full description visit Bolo Program’s website.

He is considered armed and dangerous and they are asking the public not to approach him.

A spokesperson for CPS says British Columbia RCMP and its Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit is leading the investigation into his whereabouts.
