Finance Minister Ceci to host budget town hall

Alberta's finance minister says the widening gap in the oil-price differential won't impact this year's budget, but if left unchecked will mean hard times ahead. CALGARY (660 NEWS) — Finance Minister Joe Ceci is hosting two telephone town halls to hear from Albertans about the 2019 budget.

On Feb. 6 and Feb. 7 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Albertans will be able to provide their opinion and help frame decisions for the upcoming budget.

Albertans with a public land line will automatically receive a call. Residents who live north of Red Deer will receive a phone call on Feb. 6., for those who live in Red Deer and southern Alberta they will receive a call on Feb. 7.

People can also listen and participate online, sign up for a call or dial in shortly before the town hall begins.
