Calgary Hitmen defeat Rebels on the road

The Calgary Hitmen picked up a 5-1 win over the Red Deer Rebels on Saturday night.

Mark Kastelic scored a pair of goals and led the way for the Hitmen.

Carson Focht, Kaden Elder and James Malm all were able to find the back of the Rebels net.

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – The Calgary Hitmen picked up a 5-1 win over the Red Deer Rebels on Saturday night.

Calgary was trailing 1-0 after 20 minutes, but ended up scoring four times in the second period heading into the third with a 4-1 lead.

Mark Kastelic scored a pair of goals and led the way for the Hitmen.

Calgary’s captain has six goals in his last four games giving him a team-leading 36 goals on the season.

Carson Focht, Kaden Elder and James Malm all were able to find the back of the Rebels net, with Malm scoring in the third period.

Kastelic and Elder each found their way onto the score sheet with assists.

The Hitmen will now return home to resume their 3 game Corral Series.

The team is back on the ice Wednesday, Feb. 6 when they welcome the Regina Pats to the Stampede Corral.
