CPS searching for suspects after armed robberies in S.E. Calgary

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — The Calgary Police Service is seeking the public’s help to identify two men believed to be involved in a series of armed robberies of convenience stores in which at least one clerk was assaulted.

In each of the three robberies, two men entered convenience stores armed with what is believed to be a sawed-off shotgun. They either threatened or assaulted the clerks before stealing items. The latest robbery on Dec. 30, 2018 in the community of Ogden left a clerk with minor injuries.

The other robberies took place on Dec. 19 in Willow Park and Dec. 22 in Forest Lawn. The first suspect is described as approximately 6 feet tall with a medium build. The second suspect is described as approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a medium to heavy build.

Police are asking convenience stores to practice safety measures and be extra diligent. Employees are being asked to call police if they witness any suspicious activity or people.
