Charges laid in 2017 murder of Calgary man

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – The Calgary Police Service has laid charges in connection with the homicide of 35-year-old Adam Young.

At approximately 10 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, Young, who was 35, was last seen leaving his residence in the 200 block of 11 Avenue S.E.

In late 2017, police requested the public’s assistance to locate Young, which didn’t result in any information about his whereabouts.

Police determined that there was a strong probability of foul play and investigated Young’s disappearance as a homicide.

In October 2018, police conducted an extensive, 10-day search of a rural property east of Aldersyde. Evidence collected from the property along with additional search warrants executed in Calgary resulted in charges against two individuals.

Jeffrey Ryan Brady, 34, and Robert Floyd Cudney, 39, of Calgary, have been charged with second-degree murder.

The investigation remains ongoing.
