Central Alberta crash claims two lives

LEDUC (660 NEWS) – Two men have been killed in a crash northwest of Leduc.

The crash occurred just after 5 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 19.

Upon arrival, emergency crews found an eastbound Chevrolet Malibu and a westbound Chrysler Neon had collided head on near Range Road 261.

The driver of the Malibu, a 56-year-old man from New Sarepta was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Neon, a 45 year old man from Thorsby also died on scene.

The drivers were the lone occupants of both vehicles and no other injuries occurred.

The cause is still under investigation.
