Work begins on water valve repair at Heritage Drive

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – A water main repair starting next week could put a crimp in the commute in southwest Calgary.

Starting Monday, two westbound lanes of Heritage Drive at 14 Street will be closed to allow crews to work on repairing a water valve.

The city said it could take up to a week and concede the repair will disrupt traffic in the area and the speed limit will be reduced to 30km/h.

The repair is considered a high priority so they will try to finish it as quickly as possible.

The work won’t disrupt water service in the area.
