Police investigate pedestrian collision downtown

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – A senior is recovering from his injuries after he was struck by a police vehicle.
It happened downtown Tuesday around 1 pm when the unmarked vehicle hit the man while backing up in the area of 2nd Street and 9th Avenue southwest.
Police say the pedestrian tried crossing the street on an angle when he was struck leaving the man with serious chest and pelvic injuries.
The traffic division is investigating and asking witnesses to call police or Crime Stoppers.
