Ron was in the front row with his grand children and he travelled all the way from Maple Creek, Saskatchewan to cheer on the red and white.

“I wanted to support the Stamps, they give me such great pleasure and such a high,” he said.

As the players took the stage a video montage was played marking the best moments from the season.

On stage several players and coaches spoke, including President and General Manager of the Stamps, John Hufnagel. He said the team wouldn’t be the same without the fans.

“That’s exactly who I want to thank today (Thursday), you, our fans for your tremendous support this year and every year, you guys have been fantastic and thank you.”

Bo Levi Mitchell also thanked the fans, afterwards the crowd started chanting “One more year” as he is set to become a free agent in the off season.

Head Coach Dave Dickenson says he supports whatever decision Mitchell makes.

“I want to let him see what’s out there and it won’t hurt for him to explore his options,” said Dickenson, “We sure hope he is wearing red and white, but if not we wish him the best of luck and move forward.”

If Mitchell along with several other key players stick around there is a good chance Calgary could be Grey Cup Champions again, especially considering the 2019 Grey Cup game will be held in Calgary.
