Scouts Canada looks to raise more money for No One Left Behind program

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – November 27 is Giving Tuesday, a day when people all over the world are asked to donate to charities.

Scouts Canada is looking for support for its No One Left Behind program.

Local Scout Joshua Himmens, a 13-year-old grade 8 student, said they want to ensure everyone can be a scout, regardless of their financial situation.

“So, if someone can’t afford Scouts and it’s already pretty affordable, then Scouts will help them pay for things like camps, uniforms, gear and registration fees so that they can participate like every other child,” says Himmens.

Last year, over $520,000 supported more than 3,000 youth in the program.
