Was Twitter foreshadowing Tuesday night’s plebiscite results?

Breakfast Television’s gadget guy, Mike Yawney said, maybe it was.

“According to Twitter Canada between November 1 and November 12, there was basically two times more ‘no Calgary’ tweets versus ‘yes Calgary tweets.'”

Yawney said 86-per cent of the tweets came from Alberta, but 10-per cent of them came from Ontario, and many others from the United States proving other places were following the story.

Calgarians voted 56% against the city pursuing an Olympic Bid for the 2026 Winter Games on Tuesday.
