Italy reverses course, saying it will continue with bid for the Olympics

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – After saying they would be leaving the Olympic bidding process, Italy will now be moving forward with its bid.

The country will be changing it’s plan though, instead of a three city bid only Milan and Cortina will be involved and Turin will be left out.

Calgary, Stockholm, Sweden and a Turkish city are also still vying for the games.

The IOC is scheduled next month to name which will be moving ahead to the next phase.

Sweden has already hinted that it will be exiting the race.

The winning city will be announced next year in Milan.

The Calgary plebiscite to continue with the bidding process will be held on November 13th.
