Army vehicle to be unveiled at 9/11 commemoration event

An event will take place on Monday night as part of the commemoration of the anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks.

The LAV 11 will be unveiled: the light armoured vehicle was used during Canada’s mission in Afghanistan.

Forty thousand Canadian Armed Forces members served during the conflict and 162 Canadians lost their lives.

The United States Consul General will be there for the unveiling, along with Canadian veterans, families of the fallen, and other guests of honour.

It all starts at 6 p.m. in the Tank Park, south of the museum’s main entrance.
