Calgary police officer charged with impaired driving

A Calgary police officer is facing drunk driving-related charges after being stopped at a Checkstop on Wednesday evening.
The officer was off-duty, but was believed to have been at a CPS-hosted conference for women in policing earlier in the day.
She was stopped at a Checkstop on Elbow Drive at 47 Ave. S.W.
Amanda Hill, a 20-year constable, has been charged with one count of impaired driving.
She has been suspended with pay.
