RCMP investigating death of toddler in southern Alberta

The RCMP Major Crimes unit are investigating the death of a toddler in southern Alberta.

Mounties said a two year old girl was taken to hospital in Cardston, with serious injuries, on Thursday, August 2.

Police began looking into the case when they were notified the next day.

On Monday, the little girl died due to her injuries and an autopsy was done Tuesday in Calgary.

RCMP said they’re working with several agencies as they try to determine what happened.
