Fire rips through three homes in northeast community of Taradale

Three homes have been badly damaged after a two alarm fire late Monday afternoon in the city’s NE.
At around 5:15 p.m. fire crews responded to the 200 block of Taravista Drive to find a fully involved home which quickly spread to houses on either side.
Battalion Chief Alistair Robin says a total of 21 residents are unable to return to their homes while close to 100 people in neighbouring homes were asked to leave as a precaution but were eventually allowed back in.
No injuries have been reported.
Crews remain at the scene looking for hot spots.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time but a fire investigator is on scene.
